Un spectacle et un court-métrage LGBTQIA+ suivis d'une table-ronde au Théâtre 14
Program
4 p.m. – Flagranti show directed by Essia Jaïbi
Synopsis: In four days, the lives of six young Tunisians are irrevocably altered. Their relationships are tested, their friendships are strained, and their citizenship is violated. Blending fiction and documentary theatre, Flagranti draws inspiration from the realities of the LGBTQIA+ community in Tunisia. In a society of many faces, this is the story of a turning point, a point of no return, where we enter the world of police stations, hospitals, brutal interrogations, retrograde laws, and normalized injustice.
6pm - Screening of the short film At Midnight the Children Go Out, directed by Sakeena Boukari
Synopsis: An isolated hamlet by the sea, in the middle of summer. The church bell tolls midnight. Ambre—a young, closeted lesbian—now has only 24 hours before her 18th birthday and her wedding to David—the man she is betrothed to, as required by the custom of her Caribbean community. But in the morning, Adrielle's arrival shatters all her certainties ...
6:30 PM - Round table discussion with Essia Jaïbi, Sakeena Boukari and Pierrette Pyram, president of the Diivines association
The Diivines LGBTQIA+ association is an Afro-Caribbean and Afro-descendant association working for visibility, representation, and the fight against LGBTQIA+phobia and racism. Its activities include cultural, sporting, and activist initiatives.
