Queer cinéma : rencontre avec Didier Roth-Bettoni

Twenty years after *L'Homosexualité au cinéma* (La Musardine, 2007), Didier Roth-Bettoni wanted to continue his work on LGBTQI representation in film under a new title, reflecting the considerable changes in society. A fifth, previously unpublished section covers the past 20 years and presents approximately 1,500 additional films, supplementing the nearly 6,000 already cited in the first edition.

Spanning 1200 pages from 1895 to the present day, this enriched work highlights the works and their authors, the characters and their interpreters, but focuses above all on underlining the transformations in the images of gays, lesbians or transgender people represented.

Didier Roth-Bettoni is a journalist and film historian specializing in representations of homosexuality and gender identities. He is the author of numerous books on these topics, including * L'Homosexualité au cinéma * (La Musardine, 2007), * Sebastiane ou saint Jarman, cinéaste queer et martyr* (ErosOnyx, 2013), and * Les Années sida à l'écran * (ErosOnyx, 2017).
