Performance artistique et musicale autour de la bande dessinée « Manouche Manouche »

Presentation of the comic book:
1984. After his mother's death, 18-year-old Antoine spends the summer in the countryside with his aunt Lina. Between the heat and the loneliness, he seeks escape in his dreams. Then, travelers settle on the outskirts of the village… Fascinated by those known as Gypsies, Antoine is drawn to a young Manouche man with jet-black hair and a somber gaze…

In this luminous and sensitive comic strip, Johann G. Louis addresses, in particular, the mechanisms of anti-Gypsyism as well as the question of homosexuality.

For this performance, author and illustrator Johann G. Louis will offer live drawings to the rhythm of the gypsy swing of the duo formed by Leïla Duclos and Gilles Coquard.
