Inaugural Boots Ball : Queer Line Dance & Partner Dancing
Boots Line Dancing creates events to allow the LGBTQIA+ community to come together and learn different styles of American country western dances. For a year now, we've been building this Parisian community, one dance at a time. We've faced challenges as dancers, forged friendships, developed support networks, and proudly affirmed our queer identity. All of this deserves to be celebrated. WE deserve to be celebrated, so let's celebrate together!
Our Wild West frontier is invading Paris, so be ready for the style! Bring out the rhinestones, floral prints, leather, lace, and your cowboy boots. A mood board for outfit inspiration is available on Instagram @bootslinedancing. Think "rococo rodeo": imagine Marie Antoinette leading a herd across Texas, or beauty/rodeo queens abandoning the catwalk to lead a revolution. Come to dance, watch, try something new, put on a show, and feel totally accepted.
We're throwing all heteronormative dance rules out the window! We dance to feel good in our bodies and we welcome all forms of expression. For this Ball, we've planned even more time to dance and celebrate our community: a portrait area will be set up to capture your joy, with themed drinks and a very special surprise.
Classes will be taught in English. Arrive early for partner dancing and for the Two-Step class at 7:30 pm. Several line dance classes will be held throughout the evening, so beginners, don't be shy! You'll have plenty of opportunities to request your favorite songs. Send all your choreography requests on Instagram to @bootslinedancing.
Everyone is welcome at this event focused on queer culture: all genders, sexualities, and identities. The safety of our queer community is our top priority; please report any inappropriate or suspicious behavior.

Boots Line Dancing creates events for the LGBTQIA+ community to gather and learn various American country western dance styles. Over the last year we have built this Paris community one dance at a time. We have challenged ourselves as dancers, made friends, developed support systems, and loudly expressed our queerness. All of this is worth celebrating. WE are worth celebrating, and so we simply must!
Our Wild West Frontier is taking over Paris so dress the part. Step out in rhinestones, florals, leather, lace, and your boots. There is a wardrobe mood board on Instagram @bootslinedancing. Think rococo rodeo; picture Marie Antoinette on a cattle drive across Texas; pageant/rodeo queens who ditch the runway to lead a revolution. Come to dance, to watch, to try something new, to show off, and come to be accepted.
We are chucking all heteronormative dance etiquette in the trash. We dance to feel good in our bodies and we accept all forms of expression. For the Ball, we have extra time to dance and celebrate our community, there is a portrait setup to capture the joy, plus themed drinks and a very special surprise.
Lessons will be taught in English. Come early for partner dancing and for a dedicated Two-Step lesson at 1930hr. There will be multiple line dance lessons throughout the night, beginners don't be shy, and plenty of opportunity for dance requests. Send all choreography requests to @bootslinedancing on Instagram.
